Is it abnormal to fear investing in the Obama era?
I am not a rich man, but I attempt to build gradual wealth through stocks whenever I can afford to purchase and hold. However, the Obama era worries me. I consider myself neither left or right wing, but dislike when it feels like America is beginning to lead towards socialism. Am I just being paranoid, or is it a horrible idea to invest in the Obama era when in the next 4-8 years we may see more socialization of everything so that our economy sucks like Europe’s.

Except for preventing the financial system from going bust and improving health care, Obama would be eaten alive by Republicans and the American people, then be ousted out in 4 years if he goes too far down that path. The USA is going through a stage of reluctant protectionism that will cease to continue as the economy picks up later in the year.
